hey i have an 88 chevy monte carlo ss hartop that i want to convert to t-top. i live in the bay area in california and wanted to know if there were any shops around here that did that kind of work. i know that its possible to do it and i really dont want to buy another ss with factory t-tops, i want to convert mine. i know i have to get a donor car with t-tops to chop the whole top and swap it to my ss. i want to know about how much will this cost. thanks alot!!!

I would not recommend it, because thy are going to leak.Where I work at, we use to do it but stopped because of iit

It's not advisable to do it unless you take it to a good shop to get it done. The reason being that the ones that came from the factory with T-Tops had extra strengthening in the frame area because by cutting the roof it weakens the car in the middle. So you need a shop that can work with the frame so you will be able to open and close your doors after the conversion.
