I hate my Epson! As soon as the ink cartridges run out (I bought a bunch) run out, it is going in the trash.

The paper feed is in the back. It continually refuses to pull the paper or card stock into the printer and I have to fight with it. It is very frustrating.

I bought it because I thought the separate ink cartridges would be great . Big Deal, all the cartridges run out about the same time. And all the cartridges must have ink in them or the printer won't print at all!

But if you can see past my complaints, it really makes beautiful prints!

BTW Lexmark uses a tremendous amount of ink!

Go to cnet.com and they have all kinds of reviews on all kinds of hardware

Canon is the best, Lexmark/Dell is the worst.

You should base the specifications you are looking for on what type of printing you do. If you only print documents, look for a printer that has a good pages per minute speed. If you want to do a lot of scanning or copying, look for an all-in-one with a good scanning resolution. It all depends on what you need. In general, HP makes good printers for documents, Epson makes good photo printers (their more expensive models, not their entry-level stuff) and Canon makes the best overall printers.

I like Canon. Great print quality. Ink not likely to clog. Trouble free printing. Most models have separate ink tanks for the colors. No ink waste.

As far as specs... There really isn't anything being sold now that won't get the job done because of bad specs. I would check user reviews for any models of interest to see if there is any problem with the model that appears to be common. Amazon.com and Circuit City's web sites have user reviews posted for every item they sell.

i owned an epson for 1 year and it crashed out and broke with no warning, just would not print any more. family then told me about HP got an HP 8200 series, had it for about 1 year and could not be happier in any way. great pic quality, fast printing, and good ink consumption.

choose hp!

Avoid Epson. Pathetic Service in India (Bangalore).

I am getting "Ink Cartridges not recognized" in spite of inserting EPSON genuine ones. Wish I had gone for HP.
