I can't find out where statutes regarding martial arts are spoken of . All I can find is CCW and that basically covers hand guns. I'm concerned as to whether or not my locality requires permits for martial arts weapons. Any idea where to look? BTW The state is Ohio, specifically Morrow County.

Check your local library for the current Ohio state laws. This should be in the criminal law. Your state will publish a book that lists all of your current state laws.
Most states do not allow you to have a permit for martial arts weapons. You can have them at home, the gym, or the dojo. However, they are not allowed for personal carry.
The bladed weapons will fall under the knife category (usually less than 6 inches). The sticks/staff/other blunt weapons would be considered a club.
On a personal note, martial arts weapons are usually not designed for casual carry and frankly, not as affective as a handgun.

You don't need weapons for hand to hand. Besides you won't pull out your weapons fast enough to save yourself.
