Politically speaking, Katrina was worse as the US have noone else to blame but themselves for the distress and suffering of the New Orleans population.

While the Trade Center attack was bad, it brought the US together. Hurricane Katrina ripped us apart, and the government knew it was coming. Most disasters around the world the US will have troops & aid on the ground in a day or two. It took over 72 hours to put feet onto American soil to help our own. Absolutely disgraceful!

For sure a natural event may be devastating, but no one is to blame... and even if prevention is the key, some populations will always live in areas where great storms, or even volcanos may simply kill whole villages, etc...
An event like 9/11 is far more devastating in the sence that because it was considered as an act of WAR, it simply created more deaths elsewhere... and if this event would have been taken to a FARTHER EXTREME it could also have been a trigger for world war III...
Thank God that some countries keep their cool...

The WTC attack is worse than the Katrina storm. The Katrina storm was just nature doing its thing. The WTC bombing was an act of man against its fellow men. Man has a thing called "choice." It was just the terrorists' choice to do what they did. Nature is nature. There's no controlling it.

Katrina was or still is. The tower was a business. The people that made it out had home to go to. I work for the 311 which is the Hurricane Katrina hot line and allot of people are still with out home can't find their children and can't get help. Some people are so poor that they did not have food insurance and can't afford to build a home.. Just a thought for you. I just lucky i can't help them out a little.

Oh look, who's was the president during both events? Anyone see
a pattern here? What about "Weapons of Mass Destruction?
Do you think the three are related somehow?
They are both scars on America that will take forever to heal!
Our presidents failure to act responsibly to either is just as painful as what happened. Both have created lost lives one way or another. Lives that never should have never been lost. We lost one battle in Katrina because of poverty and another in New York because of our not listening to the warnings that were there long ago. I pray that both incidents will make use open our eyes so that we don't repeat our mistakes again. I hope that george bush and the nation have learned from what happened and that we can heal from the knowledge gained from the horror of both.

If you watch daily the weathr report you can safe guard to some extent to the Kathrina storm but there is no chance for the trade center attack. It is purely due to the lack of security

Both events are equal in the political devastation that followed. The utter incompetence of our gov't is an ongoing disgrace. We , as a people, will live with for years to come.

Both because many American lives were lost. Anytime so
many lives are lost it is worse..To sweep the events under the rug like they never existed is even more worse.
