If your driving licence is full NOT provisional you can use that licence as a provisional m/bike licence but you must go and take your CBT before taking a 125cc on the road

This usually depends on where you are. Assuming you are in the United States you will find that each state usually has different laws and regulations about things of this nature. I'm in California and if you are as well.. No. There are a series of licenses (M1/M2 for minors as an example) and even some two wheel vehicles that are not motorcycles need a license to operate that is unique to two or three wheel vehicles. So I suggest you check the DMV type place of your area (check on-line as a lot of them have the information and handbooks available there) and get the correct answer.

In the UK you need to take your CBT before you can ride ANY bike on the road, even a 50cc, anyone who says otherwise is either lying or hasn't got a clue.

Once you have taken your CBT you can ride up to a 125 cc and it lasts for 2 years, at the end you will either need to take your CBT again or take your full motorbike test.

The only exception to this is if you passed your driving test before 1991 (i think thats the correct year), that is when this law came into force. If you passed before 1991 then you can ride anything on your driving license.

you can ride up to 125cc with a full car license but you have to take a cbt(compulsory basic training) course it costs between 75 -150 depending where you go, you also have to have L- plates,
check the dvla web site for full details.

It depends on where you live. If you live in the US check-out the laws for your state on the American Motorcyclist Association's website.
