You can contact the listing agent but he/she may not inform you until after the property has been recorded with the County. What I usually do, I ask if it sold close to the asking price. Usually, the listing agent will give some type of idea. If your thinking of putting your home on the market, contact 3 local real estate agents for an estimate on what your home will sell for.

What you can do is go to a Real Estate Agent and he can get you comparables of how much the houses are worth around your area, then you can choose a good price to sell your house.

Most counties in the US have that info online through the counties gov't website. In some states it's called the assessor's office and in other states it's called the tax office. Google the county and state, you will find the gov't website there.

Go to the town clerk or courthouse (depending on where they keep the records) and check the property. There you can find who bought it...sold it..how much....liens...taxes..etc

Call Realtor and say you are interested, they tell you it's sold, you ask how much it went for.
