Yes it is. It seems like we have control over everything. But actually nothing is under our control. We just play the role assigned to us by god. If we could control everything, nothing would be interesting in our life. If we could know what will happen in our life, we wouldn't let anything bad happen to us. Are we able to predict the stream of life? no .So we are just actors in the world
But we have to agree the point that present is the only gift we have try to utilize it as much as possible. we shoould not waste time in thinking about future or past

Everyone is, more or less an actor and a viewer at the same time. You view what other people are doing, how they get along in life, how they react to situations and to what particular situations do they react in a particular way, you learn from this and act accordingly, to fit in and adjust to all situations.
Its more or less circumstantial.
