There is a book called Seven Science Experiments to Change the World. My favorite is testing whether or not you can actually sense when someone is staring at you. Use different media like glasses, paper, saran wrap.

Get a group of people from the same religion who don't know each other to agree on all aspects of their religous text. Lock them in a small room with a big stick in the corner and wait to see how long it takes for the violence to start.
