Oh goodness, college WILL be the best time of your life! Plz study and I'm not just saying it cuz it's whack, you have study to make it! Consider your major. Dont waste anytime like others. Borrow loans if you need them. Make a good study schedule and stick to it. Party some and Work even harder. Leave guys alone they just want sex. Go to football games, and join organizations. Find some friends that will be a POSITIVE influence on you. Get a mentor. Do study groups. Most of all, graduate. Your grades are important! You will do fine, Keep posting on your progress!

make sure you find the washrooms on campus, during my first term I only knew of two washrooms on campus, and it gets to be a problem if that's the case.
also make sure you can pinpoint the locations of food! or just general hangout places to meet up with new friends, and things like that. Pick landmark locations with seats, so you can sit.
if your campus is really large, consider getting a bike to get around, since most of the time, unless you have a break scheduled, it'll be hard to get to classes on time.
Lots of time, people can go to the library for studying. It's good and quiet there, and if you can concentrate, you could probably get a lot done. Always keep up with your readings, or even read ahead, since it'll be a lot easier on you when midterms/finals come around.
Be friendly and outgoing, meet new people. College is the time to have fun and learn new things. Find a way to balance your study time and your fun time so you can have a life. :) You'll be a lot more independent, since you're more on your own.

I know what you're talking about. Every change in your life is very scary. You're going out to a place you've never lived in before to be with people you never met before and do stuff you never done before.
I know this isn't much help, but all I can say is - Don't worry. These strangers will soon become your best friends. This place will soon become our home and these will be the best times of your life. You Will enjoy them, with all the hard work and all the studying it will be the time of your life you will always look back on, remembering what a blast it was.

What was it like when you first went to high school? If you had an enjoyable experience, more than likely the same will happen. If not, if you were scared and didn't make friends, then you will probably go through the same, but here's hoping that in those four years you grew to be a better person in the end.

I only had grade 11 then went to college as an older adult...lol..it was a joke...ten times easier than I expected...I had top marks...which was a shock considering I thought of myself as a dummy. It was fun...but I was glad to be finished. Great time for a young person...but being older...happy to get out.

get to know the people in your dorm. if you are shy, try bringing some snacks and offering food as you knock on people's doors. don't just stay in your room with the door closed. keep the door open. get involved in activities.
