we were cheated by contracters,

HomeMaker's Design n Contract in Ang Mo Kio central, cheated us ALL our money,
they r ALL gangsters
last heard his gangsters friends r going to Malaysia,Hong Kong Taiwan China Thailand China Australia etc etc to cheat ppl n to commit crimes, robberies,burglaries, steal cars, rob ppl also , etc n all sorts of crimes
we now need to get another contracter but we also heard a lot of horror stories about other contracters in singapore also
anyone knows of a good, honest contracter?

I am sorry to hear about your situation. In order to find a good contractor, you will need to do some homework. First, you will need to look around for contractors that is endorsed by HDB. Next, get a few quotes and visit some sample houses that you think that the contractor is ok. Next, delay payment till some parts of the renovation is done.

I think you should try this person. He is abit on the expensive side, he looks like a samseng but he is alright once you get to know him. He works with his brother as a partner, he is a real joker. His office is @ Thomson Road. His workers are easy to bribe just give their favourite dessert and they will do anything you ask. they are well known for their toilet design. They are the best in Singapore, Johore and some even say Batam. His name is Mr PHUA CHU KANG

You can try contractor under HDB. I think there is a list of contractor for you to find

I think better to ask your trusted friends or relative to recommend thos they had good experience with....good luck and God Bless
