Of course I have heard of it.
I've never been there, but I have heard of it.
I saw a film of a flight over Lithuania. It looks like a beautiful place. There are many people from Lithuania living in Dublin now.

Well, yes, why? It's one of the three "Baltic" countries, Lithwania, Latvia, and Estonia. Formerly part of USSR. It's I think still operating under a currency board.
Don't know why the name is so complicated in English, though. But then, a lot of names are strangely somplex in other languages.

yes, a small country on the baltic sea. former USSR republic. Was there in may, can tell you it's still pretty much.... underdeveloped to say the least. I hear latvia, a neighbouring country, is a lot nicer.
Lithuania, latvia and estonia joined EU recently. Still on old currency board, 1 euro = approx 3.5 lit. Anything else you need to know? email me maybe i can advise
