Anyone remember The Green Hornet & The Shadow on TV back in what was called, the good ole days?

Who were the stars? I saw these shows on Video at a video store along with some other old shows. If they are good, I might start watching these old shows. Nothing but garbage on today's tv (except for Boston Legal, 24, CSI). I use to like Boston Public but can't locate it anywhere.

I would recommend listening to the old radio shows. I listen to them and The Shadow is one of my favorites... along with the Green Hornet, Suspense, and many others

Ive seen 2 of the shadow movies and its a different storyline than the radio show ... didn't like it too much. And I liked Boston Public too... starting watching it in reruns and was pissed when it just ended...

the juvenile adventure series initially starred Al Hodge in the title role, followed by Donovan Faust (1943), Bob Hall (1944-51) and Jack McCarthy (1951-52). The radio show used Rimsky-Korsakov's "Flight of the Bumblebee" as its theme song, blended with a hornet buzz created on a theremin.

The Shadow is a fictional crime fighter created by Walter B. Gibson. The character is one of the most famous of the pulp heroes of the 1930s and 1940s. Made even more famous through a popular radio series, the Shadow has since been featured also in comic books, comic strips, television, and at least seven motion pictures. Regardless, the Shadow is best regarded for its radio years, in which pulp crime fiction received perhaps its most compelling broadcast interpretation.
