i know there's a way to get rid of those boxes that pop up before you shut down, where you need to press "End Now" or wait for it to end. if anyone knows it's truly appreciated. thanks.

Turn off error reporting.

Start > Control Panel > System

myothernewname is right. disable error reporting in system properties and you will not get that box again.

to open system properties you can right click on my computer icon on desktop select properties, click advance tab and click error reporting button. there you will find options for error reporting.

good luck

My new computer has "superfast shutdown" icon. I just click on it and immediately it is turned off!
