This was a good place for reference and help. Some of the questions now, and the answers are only to earn points and are
offensive and not what one would expect from such a valuable source of reference.

Exactly, I find most of the questions not worth checking into and other statements unacceptable, do these people think that young children do not get onto these sites also?
There should be a filter or block on certain words in the title or in the answering area.

I agree with you. This site is a very good place for quick help and reference. But some people purposely destroy the true usage of the Yahoo! Answers. I have seen some answers like “I don’t know”, “No idea”, etc. this type of answer will give them 2 points but nothing for the Asker! If they don’t know the answer, why do they have to answer it! Just go for another question. And of course, when the time passes, these people will be raised in to higher levels like Level 5, level 6 or even level 7! But for them, this number is just a quantitative value. It doesn’t contain any quality at all. I wish Yahoo! Answers team can do something about that.

I don't understand the whole 'race to collect points thing'. It's meaningless.
Nor have I ever understood a troll's motivation to get a reaction of ANY kind but I have long since gotten over being surprised about it.
What really kills me is the abysmal spelling and the inability to string together a understandable sentence. It's frightening.

People are the same all over. They are trying to offend people deliberately. Just report it and the question will be removed. I also do not answer the offensive questions.

i have reported some abusers....adult content in the religious section...and just plain inappropriate nastiness, BUT i don't condone censorship in any form. i think they should just take the nastiness to another category. this is supposed to be a fun site, don't take yourself so seriously. serious questions do get answered, but let 'em have fun too!! be your own censor!

I agree with you, some of these people make up crazy questions and the people that answer questions usually go completely off the subject

agreed. i see alot of people just trying to get a rise out of people, trying to get alot of points, bashing others or bringing attention to their own sites. it gets really annoying. just report and hope that yahoo will IP ban them. it once was fun but soon it'll become chaos. we need to stop it before it gets out of hand.
