Not In This Weather No
Flip Flops Are For Around The House Or At The Coast,
Not Really Everyday Wear When You Are Out And About..

I'm from London, and when it's hot of course it's ok to wear Flip Flops (I wear them!) There is no Fashion Police in London believe me!! The other day I saw a woman wearing a poka dot bikini and talking to herself and no one even looked twice!! Flip flops no bother!!

Technically the answer to your question is "Yes."
However, all women in London do not wear flip-flops, also known as thongs. Yes, a thong is considered a flip-flop shoe.
You see, England does not really get that warm. You see, England is bordered by Ocean and the Channel. As such, it tends to get a bit damp, limiting the days that flip-flops can be worn.

As such, generally only folks who are not native to England or the UK have such footwear. Thus, the answer of "Tourists" is correct. Can't say that I have ever seen a stripper or lady of the night in anything other than "stripper heels" or other high heels.

Young Londoners with cool flip flops wear them throughout summer. I'm talking fashion flip flops, not those awful rubber thick-soled ugly things you wear on a beach. And there is a flip flop suitable for just about any occasion. I own around 15 different pairs of flip flop, from everyday ones for work through to glittery sparkly bling bling ones for dancing.

We are still humans the same as you are in the US, if the weather is warm enough of course we wear them. There is nothing "improper"about wearing flip flops, unless it is raining/snowing at the time. Honestly, I do wonder sometimes, people must think the Brits are another race altogether.

London is not like the US, here you can wear anything you want and no one will notice!! You can go in the streets naked and people won't see you, so stop being so vein and come to Europe where you will see how people live happy and know how to dress and eat healthy (more in continental europe than in the UK) and walk instead of driving everywhere!!! We have sidewalks so cars won't run you while you walk, and roundabouts so traffic is more fluid!!! and if you feel nostalgic and miss home you can find a Mcdonalds in every corner where you can indulge yourselve with greassy-nasty-full of chimicals-tourist-food!!!

Even if they don't, the visitors of a country do not have to be dressed as the native residents. Besides, it is much better to wear flipflops!
