I had a friend who was late for everything, we would tell her a earlier time to be somewhere than the rest of us, and she was still late. I think it shows disrespect for others, and may be a power struggle, or a bid for attention. Stuff happens, and everyone has been late due to whiny kids, or a traffic accident ahead of you on the road, but to always be late isn't good. You lose friends that way.
I try to be on time. I just took a new job, for my interview I was there at exactly the appointed time. The boss was at lunch, same thing with the HR appointment, I was a couple minutes early, I cooled my heels almost 20 minutes before I was seen, and no apology was offered. I was beginning to think they did not want me for the job. I thought the attitude was I'm a big shot, you are a peon, and this is how I put you in your place. Not good, when your work place desperately needs more staff. It did cross my mind that no wonder you are so short staffed, if this is how you treat employees.
I can wait for goods, but if someone or a company tells me whatever will be delivered by a certain date, it needs to be here, so I do not worry, thinking there was a screw up, or the package got stolen. I paid for it, and the privilege of having it delivered when stated.
Does that answer your question?

Depends on my mood and what is going on at the time. Sometimes I like to wait for others, but most of the time I take charge of the situation. Very independent and used to being in control.

If you are talking of punctuality, I don't want to be standing or sitting somewhere and wait till the person I am suipposed to meet comes. I always come 15 minutes ahead of the time schedule. If ever, I will recieve a notice (ie. text message or phone calls) that he would be late, its fine, otherwise, I will leave and call him later.

No, and I don't like to make others wait for me. Just don't like the feeling of it.

I don't mind waiting for things but I dislike waiting for people when they are late, it is such bad manners and they obviously think you have nothing better to do than wait for them.

I find it very rude when a person keeps me waiting and I get very angry that they do not consider an appointment with me important enough to be prompt.

It depends on how much time I have. It depends on whom I am waiting. It depends on what I am waiting for. I can wait on surgery but I am anxious for dessert to be served. It's all relative.

No. I don't like it. I think is a lack of respect to make you wait.

i can and i would. there's no telling what could have been if i passed up the chance. "carpe diem" is a nice principle but it's also nice to hang on, stay awhile and wait.
