I was curious, but I'm about to graduate and enter real world. I keep hearing from people, "after college, life goes downhill...physically and emotionally." Well, that doesn't sound very exciting.

There are many contributors to your question! You never stated your major or how well your doing! One of major importance is which college are you attending? For the average folks, no company will hire you in as an expert for anything, even with your education there is a job entry level, then you must prove your worth in actions, and work yourself. B/s don't cut it, believe me they have heard it all!
Life is what you make it, that's your responsibility! Now days, education is an on going thing throughout your employment if you are wise. Things change so much in a short period of time< you must get more education to stay on top of your game!

Let's assume first that your college degree gets put to use and isn't a nice wall plaque decoration to collect dust, look at and reminiscence of the "good ol' days".

Life there, other than you actually graduated from college, isn't any much different than experiences faced after one only high school graduates. You take on a job, enjoy single life for a couple of years, meet someone you THINK you can live the lifetime with, marry--and get busy at home, have a kid together---and REALLY get busy (as more kids may come along), notice how gracefully the years of marriage and parenthood have aged you and the spouse, weep a dry tear at your own kid's high school graduation.....and watch them go on off to live out their own lives.......and remember back to the time YOU put your parents in the same boat as you now are in..........

Oh heck...I hated college...Its uphill after that...just dont get married or tied down for a while...Nows the time to make plans, chart your future. The only thing that will stop you is marriage and children. Travel the world..do things that you have only dreamt of doing. The future is yours!!! Dream and Do!!!!!!!
