John Mark Karr was released from custody today because his DNA did not match the DNA they had on JonBenet so it looks like he made up the whole story. What do you think should be done to someone for doing what he did or do you think he still had something to do with the murder regardless of the DNA?

i honestly dont know what to think of it. Ive been keeping up with her case for a long time.. and i was happy at first to see someone got caught for what happened to her.
I hate how the court system works... how one little piece of evidence might be missing, and they can let you go, yet they have all other evidence PLUS him confessing to doing it!?! wtf??? makes no sense....

Although he will face Child Pornography charges in California, I think it is great that John Mark Karr was released from custody because his DNA didn't match the DNA they had on sweet, little JonBenet Ramsey, whereas the real killer of JonBenet Ramsey is still out there somewhere.

Actually, from what I read, JonBenet had all symptoms of having been drugged. There are some drugs that will not show in the blood stream after a few hours, and that I learned somewhere else... Karr possibly did not do it, because if he could have given all details they would possibly then revue the DNA test instead...hopefully...
Also, I don't believe that pedophily had anything to do in the case of JonBenet...
Normally a pedophile will act in his on area... not in the victim's own house... and also act on easy victims... JonBenett died in her own house... Pedophiles would normally abduct their victim...
The answer is elsewhere....
In fact, if we, on Yahoo Answers, woul put all our heads together, we may get this down to only a few possibilities...
There are details that would clear some people, and details that would circle, if not THE murderer, the motive...
Also, rape before, but possibly after death may have been a simple cover-up to throw the case in the wrong direction...
Hope they, or we, find the real killer...
I hope yahoo will create a special category for solving criminal cases... murders, and all.... I think that with all the ideas everyone may come up with, and clearing some impossibilities, we all may help solving cases...

No. He was a sick paedophile that became obsessed with her media coverage. He spent ten years finding out all he could so he could do this, and we're giving him exactly what the freak wants; to forever be associated with JonBenet. Everytime the story comes up again he will be mentioned for his false testimony. He is getting just what he wanted.
PS- He'll probably be charge with obstruction of justice and misleading police.
As for who murdered her? I still believe the answer is a lot closer to home...

Charge him with the COSTS for everything that got him back here to America (and I mean everything -- then collect that with interest and then some from his book, tv, movie and appearance deals), ship him back through California to Thailand (Where he started from) and let him face charges there for whatever he was fleeing to make up that sick story in the first place -- which is most likely why he wanted to make such a splash in the media and get back to the US as quickly as possible.

Well...he is n't being totally let go. They are going to hold him and prosecute him for some child pornagraphy charges that were pending.
They are just dropping the charges of murder etc. on him due to lack of evidence.
He is definitely a kook, though and needs some serious help.

He may have had something to do with it anyway and they don't know if there was more than one person involved.
Did you notice that he never said (to the press) outright that he killed her, only admitting that he had something to do with it? I would like to know exactly what he told the police. This could also be a clever way for him to cease being a suspect and I wonder if he knew he'd be cleared by the DNA test.

This guy is a phsyco pervert, he needs to be shot. He did not kill JonBenet but his sick mind will lead him to harm some child before it is all over. He is sickening.

most experts had already said, before he was even charged, that it looked a lot like he was just making it up and that he wanted the attention. im sure he will be sent to jail for filing a false confession, and probably be made to see a psychologist

I don’t know you think he’d get in trouble for lying to the police. Perhaps John Ramsey will sue him for emotional damage.
