She should NOT lay on her back because that can cut off blood flow and oxygen to the placenta, which in turn can cut off oxygen to the baby. Laying on the left side is best.

Your left side preferably. That provides optimum blood flow to your fetus. The right side is fine too, but left is best. DO NOT lie on your back. Doing so for extended periods past your 3rd month puts pressure on your vena cava reducing blood flow to your baby. Obviously, not your tummy either. To the person that said she should lie on her back- do not give advice to medical questions if you don't know the answer for sure from a medical source. It's dangerous.

being a recently new mom i can say that it's pretty much whatever is comfortable for you. either side is fine, i believe the left side is best for everyone(pregnant or not). and i read many places to try and not lay on your back because the weight of thebaby and your placenta can cut off the main blood flow to your body. Most of the time you'll roll over before it gets serious.

The best position is anyone she can get comfortable in...lol. But honestly, the left side is the best. It promotes cirrculation because of the heart being on the left and gets the blood and oxygen to the placenta better.

Left side is the best position to sleep and lay in. She can lay on her right but left is better. Laying on your back starts to interfere with her breathing once she gets to a certain point in her pregnancy and laying on your belly is out of the question unless you put pillows under her legs and under chest so that her belly has a dip to be placed in.

Sleeping on your back puts a lot of pressure on the baby and your lower back. I slept on my side with a pillow between my knees. Then every time I woke up to use the potty, I switched sides. When my baby was born, I did the same for her.She loved it.

Left side, this will help her kidneys and keep the pressure of the baby off of her back and spine. Either side is okay, but lying on her left is the best. Good luck.

A pregnant woman should never lay on her back. When a pregnant woman lays on her back the baby lays on all her organs. A pregnant woman should always lay on her left side. Her and the baby will get more oxygen that way.

as long as she feels comfortable. I lied on my semi-stomach till about 8 months but with my 2nd pregnancy I slept on my side which ever one the baby preferred he was more picky LOL. It also depends on where the placenta is at so the baby can get adequate blood supply (that's wat alot of text books say) I think from experience and from many year women have slept however they felt comfortable

Lay on your left side because it helps lower your blood pressure. I had high blood pressure and they told me to sleep on my left side.
