Personaly I think he is the greatest. Look at what he did in "12 Monkeys", "Seven Years in Tibet", "Legends Of The Fall" Unlike Tom Hanks Or John Wayne, he becomes the character. It's difficult because we see him as a" pretty boy".

Hes a very good actor, really takes the role and just impresses you with his skill. I like watching in movies, and you are right it's not just he has a hot body, I really liked him in "seven" with Morgan freeman.

Brad Pitt is a pretty good actor, but not half as good as Tom Hanks, and cannot be compared to John Wayne.

I personally think Tom Hanks is a better actor. But he did do a good job in Troy.

Anyone can act on cam equally good (maybe better) than Brad Pitt does. Pitt's "acting key" to success, other than just being well connected in the biz, is due in part to the fact he is pretty much lost his true self as a person....and relies on acting to keep him going.
You tell me: would you want to live like that?

I used to "playa hate" on Brad until I saw him in that british movie Snatch where he played an Irish (?) bare-knuckle boxer. Then I had to cave in and admit that the guy can act. I think he enjoyed himself too much in Troy and Mr.& Mrs. Smith, but that doesn't mean anything. Homeboy can act. Period.

I think he's wasted as a leading man! (And I say that as a straight woman. I can see he's a fine physical specimen and he seems nice enough, and I'd love to take him for a beer, but not date him or sleep with him.) He is talented, but for me, it comes out most in his comic roles. Remember "Snatch"? Or "Thelma and Louise" for that matter? The guy is funnier than he is cute.
