its a 2004 4 runner and I to reset my srs lighth

this is a question that should not be answered. Dont mess with SRS unless you KNOW what you are doing.

If the light is flashing, check the SRS fuse first. If the fuse is good, you are not going to be able to reset the system without first repairing it.
Every time you start the little truck, the vehicle's computers go through a series of self-tests. If the SRS system doesn't pass the test, the system is disabled, and the light is turned on telling the driver that the system is disabled.
Even if you reset the lamp, the first time the system fails the test (the first time you start it) the lamp will come right back on again.
It really should go to Toyota or to a REPUTABLE body shop for repair.

You don't. Take it to a place like Auto Zone and they can put a tester on it. It's probably nothing to do with the air bag itself. It's a malfunction of the sensor. I did that and was told to ignore the light because having the sensor fixed is very expensive and not worth it.
