A friend of mine told me his mother has the old series on DVD. I borrowed the set, Vol. #1 and I've been watch most of them. Guess I'm hooked on it. It used to be an old time radio show. It a rather good show. I never thought I'd get hooked on soap operas.

Collingswood was located in Collins Point. Just what city & state or country were they living in?

Rememb er one of the scenes where this couple got married and the minister said in part, "Do you take this man (& then, this woman) to be your husband or wife, TILL DEATH DO YOU PART?" They were already dead!

OMG, I used to run home from school to watch it with my Mom. It certainly was a major departure from all the other soaps. The character Quentin became sort of the hottie of the moment. It was pretty campy but we loved it. Barnabas Collins, Angelique; sure, I remember it.

Yes, I remember when I was in 1st grade my friend and her older sister watched it so I would see it when I was at their house.

Sometime in the 80's they started showing reruns of it but that's the last time I saw it.

Pretty cool show. I had no idea it was on DVD so I'll have to check it out!

LOL!!! My younger sister used to watch it when it first came out back in the 70's (???). Being older (and more mature, heheheh), I thought it to be yet another boring soap opera, with a silly vampire twist.

Edit: Good question. Thanks for the memories. Hadn't thought about that show in years!!!

Another Vampire character series was "Forever Knight" -- Canadian Based. This was also rather good -- and I liked it they put in situations where the Vampire was more HUMAN than those he was pursuing in his position as a police detective.

I remember it . . . if you watch it closely you can see bloopers occuring in the background. My mama had them on VHS and we all used to watch it and make fun of them but we really liked them. I loved all the characters! LOL!
