Nope.No Boogeyman for me.When I was 7, I talked my parents into letting me watch 'Poltergeist' and to this day ,with my being almost on the wrong side of 30, have a hard time getting to sleep in a room without something in front of the closet door and the door being left open just about a foot, unless someone is sleeping with me.

Children are more sensitive than adults on a psychic level.
Because they haven't been conditioned to ignore these
experiences. I saw a shadow when young that kept getting closer, and closer, and when I got the nerve to look the last time it was gone.
I later learned there are ghost type spirits that appear in this way to frighten us. We all have these experiences into adulthood which might be the source of what is making you uncomfortable.
Our spirits travel during sleep, and sometimes bring other beings back that got interested in us. A person will see a fleeting
image, and then ignore it.
These things don't usually hang around or anything of that
nature. Praying not only calls up a protection, but the psychological affect might help you sleep better. Your spirit is
just as powerful as anything you experience, so don't worry.

I'm scared sometimes even though I don't believe there is Boogy man or ghost.
When I go to the warehouse to turn on lights at night, I have to take 8 dogs with me. That helps.

I did! I was always afraid of the boogeyman hiding in my closet and the door was opened a crack. I thought it was looking out at me...lol. I slept with a "bright" nite light and it was a poodle dog type (one of those old antique ones). I don't sleep with a nite light now but I do keep my tv on all night and I get the light from that.

Geez, yes. Too many Stephen King books. Most of all I'm scared of the person with the head choppers dressed in white from Exorcist 3. I still walk backwards out of dark rooms cuz of that movie. And also, I never leave my kids closet doors open, lol, even though I named my daughter after Stephen King.

Don't feel bad...I was afraid of every little noise I heard...and sometimes I still jump when I hear a strange noise.. ..and I still keep a light on at night...and I'm 26 years old...LOL! Although I've grown out of the whole "boogieman" thing...I still don't like the dark! ; )
