What is your all-time favorite album? Like an album that makes you feel like you haven't heard it before just so that you can hear it for the first time all over again. I have two. "American Beauty" by The Grateful Dead and "Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd. I'm just curious what music moves other people.

It changes between a select few from week to week. At the moment it'd be:

Loveless by My Bloody Valentine. The distorted guitars, and the muffled whispered vocals are perfect for a rainy day like today.

Others on my list are:

Hee-Haw! by The Birthday Party. Incredibly dark sounding post punk record. Lots of scratchy, squalling guitars, and super dark vocals.

London Calling by The Clash. What need be said about this record. An epic undertaking, from blistering punk, to catchy reggae. It's all there.

Treeless Plain by The Triffids. Their first, and best. Very catchy songs about love, loss, depression and Australian life.

Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division. Their first record. Very dark and stark sounding. New Dawn Fades gives me chills.

.........and I could go on.

i'm not sure about an album...but my all-time favorite song is "Gone Away" by the offspring. It was the first song i ever heard that got me intersted in listening to and playing music, and every time i hear i feel the same way i did the first time i heard it..

Tommy Lee's "Private Pamela Anderson Photo Album" counts?

Well, seriously it has to be "Dark Side of The Moon" or "The Wall".

Stadium Arcadium by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Each time I listen, I catch something new that either Smith or Frusciante is doing with their instruments.
