How could two cases be bungled more? And not just the police, but the DA's office too? Which team do you think had a better chance to solve their case had it not been for their own shortcomings?

The ineptness of police departments in ALL states is legendary. That's why there are several groups and organizations that do their own investigations.

San Francisco county for a four year period only convicted 29% of charged felons which is the worst in the state and in the top 10 worse in the country.

The national avg. of convictions for people charged with violent crimes is only 61%. That's pitiful.

My girlfriend just had her car broken into and when she called the cops they told her to go to the police's website and file a report online.

A friend of ours just got murdered last month in San Francisco and the SFPD is so inept, they haven't even begun to investigate. The family is now doing their own investigation.

I know one SFPD guy that drove drunk 2 weeks ago and plowed into 3 parked cars and totalled them. he went home to sober up while 2 of his police buddies covered for him. When he was sober the next day he contacted the victims.

To serve and protect. Hmmmm. The nations PD's are pitiful at best. Not all of them obviously but many of them.

I think Aruba knows more but they are not talking. They do not want bad publicity. They are a tourists attraction, they want that money coming in. They could have done a lot more I think.

In my view Boulder wins this prize.
In Aruba they were incompetent. In Boulder they didn't even reach this level of merit.
