My wife bought a sink faucet for our bathroom remodel and I didn't realize it. Now that I have started on the remodel and need a faucet for the tub (no shower just tub). I would like to use the sink faucet if there isn't any reason not to.

You'd be better off returning it.

You didnt mention if this was going into predrilled holes, or not... normally, the spacing is different for sinks, and tubs.

There is also the matter of volume... a sink faucet will not allow as much water to run thru it, as a tub faucet will... less volume, longer time to fill the tub.

If you really like the styling of the sink faucet, go back and look for a tub faucet to match.

Have Fun!

Nope. You can't.

Now, you CAN do anything you want if you're determined. It will look bad though, and you would have to do major, damaging modifications to your tub.

Just look at the sink tap. It does not fit the same way. Get the tub tap. There are cheap ones out there.

The question is not whether you can but if you really want too. With modifications you can put any faucet on your tub but the results will be far less than satisfactory if you do.

With alot of modifications you could make it fit but you would definitely loose water pressure, it would be cheaper to return the sink for a tub. Good Luck

only if there are no holes on the sink and it uses a wall mount faucet, but that type of sink is usually commercial kitchen

It is possible, but not practical. A lav faucet is regulated to about 2 gpm. It would take forever to fill your tub.

To put it bluntly...no. Look at it. Even if you could mount it look where the spigot would be facing. Even then it would take forever to fill the tub. A tub spigot is much larger.
