I know why I shouldn't sleep on my back. But the only reason I can find for not sleeping on my stomach is that it is not comfortable. But for me, it is. So is it okay?

Sources, please.

You should really only be sleeping on your left side, actually. It helps with the blood flow to the uterus. Try using a body pillow and wedging it around your body. Also, try some pillows under your feet to help with any fluid retention under your feet. I know--so uncomfortable! But it will be over in a few months.

You are the only one who knows what is comfortable or not. As long as your doctor okays it, I don't see a problem with it. If you're worried about too much pressure on the baby, you could always make a little "nest" of pillows that have a space in the middle for your belly!
I know how difficult it is to get comfortable with a huge baby inside of you, and just when you think you could finally fall asleep, you have to get up to PEE! lol...
Good luck with your pregnancy.

Its okay as long as its comfortable with you. Im 19 weeks along with my 3rd child and the first 2 i slept on my stomach throughout the whole thing.

I know I read in one of my books that sleeping on your back is okay, or whichever way you please. Usually when you wake up for no reason, your body is telling you to switch positions before something happens.

I always started on my left side. Then switched sides during the night. I also used pillows under my stomach & between my legs.

If you can stand being on your stomach, GO FOR IT! That was the ONLY way I could feel my daughter kick!!!

i'll be sleeping on my stomach until it's uncomfortable. hehehe... my favorite way to sleep is on my side with my leg thrown over my husband... even when i'm not pregnant. but it's a WONDERFUL position when you are pregnant.
