Start counting from the first day of her last period. So, say her last period started on June 29, then she would be 2 months now.

I know it seems odd, but when a woman gets pregnant, she is considered to have been pregnant for 2 weeks before she actually got pregnant!

The doctors will go by the first day of her last period. Typically a woman will ovulate about day 14 in her cycle. Her cycle starts the day she begins her period. So count starting from the first day of her last period. Not all women ovulate in the middle of their cycle, but it's pretty common.

So if she started her last period on August 1st, then she more than likely got pregnant the week on or around the 14th. Therefore she would be about 14 days pregnant.

If you guys know what days you had sex after her last period ended, you could probably pinpoint the day she got pregnant.

With my last baby my last period started Mar 3. My husband and I were intimate on the 12th and the 20th. So remembering that I normally ovulate about 14 days into my cycle, I'm sure we concieved on the or about the 20th. And she came the first week of December.

Good luck!!

Start counting the first day of her last period. More accurate due-dates can be told from the day of conception, though. Congratulations!

go to www.pregnancy.org and click on baby calendar. It will give you the option of either entering in the first day of her last period, the conception date or the expected delivery date. After you give it one of those three answers it will tell you how far along she is.

You either go by date of the first day of her last period. Or the gestational date, which would be two weeks later. Most doctors don't go by months, they use weeks.
