It sounds like a timing belt issue if you replaced everything else tuneup wise. My wife's Acura doesnt shoot up to 2500 rpms on its own so you definately have some issues that need to be addressed through a certified shop. If you dont have the money to fix it right you wont get it done right. If it is a timing belt problem you wont be able to fix it on your own if you need to ask us this question. Do yourself a huge favor and spend a little extra dough on this car. The wife has almost 300k on it with the original motor and trans and doesnt have a single problem with it. We save money on it though cause I do all the work but thats besides the point.

First check the ignition timing, if thats not it then go to advance auto or autozone and ask them to do a computer read out (free)
Most likely its the fast idle control or an oxygene censor. It could be that one of the oxygene censors is sooting up and it takes a few minutes of warming up to burn the soot off in order for it to work cerrectly

you have an intake leak possibly caused by a bad Idle air control motor or the cold start Thermal air bypass valve located beneath the Idle air control make sure the radiator is full and the thermostat is working

Sounds like the "choke" for it is messing up... engages at start but if accelerates it goes off before it should... will be MUCH worse when colder weather arrives. Suggest it be checked before Sept.
