Every time I open a program/ file on the Internet it opens in word. I need to open it in something different

I somehow made my comp. open files from the internet in word. This causes a problem when I click on any thing on the internet it will open in word. Therefor I can not read it. Example - If I am reading on line and it has an Icon for me to click on (like adobe) it opens in word and says a bunch of jibberish, How do I fix it back to open right there on the internet?

Open internet options and go to Programs, HTML editor, click the down arrow on the right, and see the options. If Word is listed as the HTML editor, choose one of the other programs.

try right clicking the file and selecting "open with'. If it is a file your computer has assigned to open with word you'll have to tell it to do otherwise.
