i did have problems with irregular periods when i was young, and it is very common. i have also had period-related migraines since i was young, so i know how you feel. since you are now a young woman, you should be seeing a gynocologist. she can make recommendations for what to do about cramps, headaches, etc. she will also give you a complete pelvic exam to make sure everything is working as it should. you should also feel free to talk to your mom about these things. dont forget, she was once a young woman and may know exactly what you are going through.

It is all really common. If your mum agrees then sometimes a light contraceptive pill can help to regulate your period but this may not be appropriate at your age unless this becomes more of a problem. Most women get headaches, as well as other yukky symptoms and irregular periods. I am 34 and if I am not on the pill, they are still irregular. Don't worry.

It could be that you have an irregular cycle...like me. Instead of a girl getting her period exactly every 28 or 30 days to the day, I would get mine one month 27 days, the next 22, the next 28, etc. This is considered normal. As you get older we experienced different types of discomfort. Some get bad headaches (like yourself), others get bad back aches (like me) and some experience other symptoms. I recently started getting soreness in my breasts and I've been getting my period for over 30 years now but do get yourself to your doctor and explain to her what you feel. They are there to help you.

Menstrual Headaches - Studies at the Yale University School of Medicine have shown that the administration of estrogen to patients suffering from migraines right before and during the period has been remarkably effective at relieving pain common with these headaches. (Estrogen has been shown to be a natural vasodilator and thus prevents initial arterial spasms.) In addition, estrogen therapy has reduced the number of headaches experienced by menopausal women undergoing hormone replacement therapy. Men with deficient male hormone levels are also prone to migraines which seem to be relieved by hormone therapy.

I got my first period at 13 and then it didn't come back for months, when it did it was like a rollercoaster very difficult to track...it could hit me at any moment! Then around 15, I could track them, they were every 36 days and very very heavy with lots of cramps lasting for 7 days...no bloating or headaches. Now I am grown and a mother and my periods are 5 days and somewhat light and I have headaches and bloating but minimal if any cramps. Your body goes through so many changes it is very hard to find a "norm".....if you are at all concerned talk with a doctor, but it sounds very normal to me.

Go to your doctor...it is probably just a hormone imbalance, but can only be diagnosed thru a blood test.. Your pediatrician can do this...but soon you will need to start seeing a gynecologist (female if you prefer) as you are getting older now

I GOT MY PERIOD AT A YOUNG AGE LIKE YOU I WAS 10 AND IT WAS REGULAR BUT I DID GET VERY BAD PAINS!!
I AM A VIRGIN BUT I WENT ON THE PILL TO GET RID OF MY PAINS!! SINCE THEN THEY HAVE BEEN IRREGULAR AND GOING LONGER THAN THEY DID BEFORE!!
MY ADVICE TO YOU IS GO SEE YOUR DOCTOR AND TRY TO STAY OFF THE PILL IF YOU CAN!! ALSO LOOK AT SOME HOMEOPATHIC REMEDIES THAT MAY HELP!! MY GRANDMOTHER IS A HOMEOPATHIC DOCTOR SO I WILL ASK HER IF THERE IS ANYTHIN FOR YOU AND I WILL GET BACK TO YOU ON IT!!
GOOD LUCK AND A DOCTOR IS A GOOD IDEA!!
