Stiletto refers to the heel, pump refers to the shoe.
A stiletto heel is generally very thin and is more than 2 inches high (lower thin heels are referred to as kitten heels).
A pump is a women's closed toe dress shoe. It can also have a slingback or peep toe or have a d'orsay design (open sides), but generally is closed all the way around. Strappy sandals and backless shoes do not usually qualify as pumps.

Centrifugal Pumps (Roto-dynamic pumps) The centrifugal or roto-dynamic pump produce a head and a flow by increasing the velocity of the liquid through the machine with the help of a rotating vane impeller. Centrifugal pumps include radial, axial and mixed flow units. Reciprocating pumps operates by alternating of filling a cavity and then displacing a given volume of liquid. The positive displacement pump delivers a constant volume of liquid for each cycle against varying discharge pressure or head.

A stiletto is a high narrow heel on a woman's shoe and a pimp is a man who gets customers for a prostitute in return for a share of his or her earnings. Though stiletto is an inanimate thing, it attracts the customers because it make the movements of hip and back of the body of a prostitute so attractive. The pimp capitalizes this body movement of the prostitute and chooses the customers so easily. The difference is that one is lifeless making a female to woo the customer and the other one is a male who makes his survival on it.
