what kind of bird and what kind of news?
Here are the different kind of birds i know the meaning of. if it is not one of these let me know.

blackbird- happy news is coming your way.
(i realize that makes no sense but I'm not a professional)

canary- you or a loved one may be unfaithful (I'm pretty sure you didn't hit a canary)

dove/pigeon- you will have happiness in love. ( that makes no sense either sorry)

duck- you will overcome an insecure situation and carry out your intentions.

eagle- your higher self will destroy baser forces.

owl- you will become wise or you already are.

parrot- a warning to reconsider your actions and avoid gossip.

peacock- a reminder that beauty is only skin deep. wealth is coming you way.

robin- someone is possessive of you.

seagull- expect news from a distance and the return of a traveler.

stork- a sign that you will journey far.

swan- you or someone else may be struggling beneath a serene appearance. expect financial prosperity.

Birds are usually a good omen. A dead bird usually means news of a death but i wouldn't worry to much.

I can see that all the other answers were crap, so heres my take on what I think youre saying. You want to know if hitting a bird or several birds is an omen of some sort with regards to the "news" you had? Well, nothing is coincidence, but that doesnt mean it happened in relation to your news. Im thinkin that the birds were a strong message to pay close attention and expect the unexpected. hmm food for thought.

the real answer is that hit some birds. The whole history and fortune telling of birds has proved to be false! So don't rack your brain, it happens, its just a random moment in time. Now if you feel bad tell God your sorry for taking innocent life, Believe me is not mad about it. live , be free, free yourself!

That's the first step to loosing your freedom... i hit an extremely rare bird when i was travelling thru Aus. and now i'm back home very unhappy and stiffled.... birds don'thave choice, they have instincts... you have choice swurve the next time you're abou to hit a bird... they're beautiful creatures.

That is supersticious nonsene..God doesn't work that way. Simply tell God you're sorry for hitting the birds and ask Him to commend their precious spirits to heaven back the One who created them from perfect love. God does love the birds and says so in the bible.

Repend and let Him know you will be more careful and ask Him to cover you with His precious blood to keep you safe in the future.
