I begin by saying that I am no fan of Al Gore, however I do appreciate truth, no matter how hard. ; )
Although he didn't invent the internet, he was an early supporter, legislatively speaking, of the internet.

Here's the actual quote: On 1999-03-09, Wolf Blitzer had an interview with Gore on CNN's Late Edition. During this interview, Gore said,

'During my service in the United States Congress I took the initiative in creating the Internet. I took the initiative in moving forward a whole range of initiatives that have proven to be important to our country's economic growth and environmental protection, improvements in our educational system. '

He didn't say he invented the internet. He said he "took the initiative in creating the internet". Apparently some people don't think that inventing the internet and creating the internet are the same thing.

Anyway, it's a hilarious quote as always.

It's good to know that people in my profession (the media) can still so strongly influence the public with misinformation. The comment was taken out of context.

At least he didn't claim to have served in the military and then didn't show up. You know it is sad how much people will believe what they read even if it is discredited later. True you should be able to trust the media but then again some mainstream media seems to think it's the Weekly World News instead of say the New York Times.

What I find interesting is how our country was under Clinton and Gore and how it is now. How it is now--now that's laughable. Just like sheep--------

Again taken out of context Gore later clarified what he meant and Wolf Blitzer aired that correction....still I would rather have someone say he created the internet than there are weapons of mass destruction and taking us to a devastating war........

FYI, in case you are unaware of this, Gore has not been involved in politics for 6 years. Maybe you should consider catching up on things a bit.

He invented out of jealousy after Clinton got his BJ. He invented it to have cyber sex with fat shemales (the only people who think he is a real human and not a robot.)

Go back to your corner from which you just woke up from. Trying to think without a brain can be fatal.
