Are you thinking of a lobbyist that may contribute to a campaign or just someone with a flat out bribe? They're called criminals. Of course not all lobbyists are on the up and up either.

Are you talking about lobbyists? They represent a cause and then often give "gifts" that may or may not influence a vote (supposedly they are just being nice with the gifts--yeah right).
