You're not giving any specifics as to who you are exactly talking about. In the case of Joe Lieberman he was a Democrat so you can't mean him. In some states the candidates can be very weak and the state committees will select candidates who are not supported by the national party. In that case you will not see support from the white house. Frankly however, I think that not having the support of the white house would be a positive thing this year.

The Primary System in this country is an absolute joke.

We let Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina decide who will be our president...

Let' s have a lottery and every year the primaries begin in a new state and guess what...no one conceeds defeat until the votes are tallied at the Convention. No more, you're done before the actual Convention Vote. Let's make the primaries real again and not some party rubberstamp lovefest.

John McCain might actually be president today except for our retarded primary system.

Let's begin the next primary in Montana. I bet the folks in Montana would love the opportunity to be first and get the ball rolling. Why should Iowa get that honor all the time???? C'mon Iowa share with the rest of the states.
