I live in California. It's too expensive. I want to move to a city that is nice, modern but I don't want to pay for it. Can someone tell me a city (outside of California) where the rent is moderately priced and the pay for an educated-experienced professional is up to par?

To add to crct2004's answer the site is called Find Your Spot here's the link! Give it a look see!

I came across it from our local radio station who get interesting sites from their listeners and share them with their listening audience!

Copy and paste the link to your browser if it doesn't work thru here!

Alabama, Georgia, N/S Carolina - wonderful weather (although alabama gets a bit humid), you can live reasonably.

Research Triangle Park is beautiful, B'ham Alabama, outskirts of Atlanta.

Best bet is to try to get a job at a national company and get a transfer, you'll keep your CA salary and will live like a king in your low cost state!
