I got freaked out whenver the idea comes to my mind . There will be great discoveries in next 20 years time - I'll watch them but can't avail . Before my life expires - I'll know that Humans can travel to places several light years away , can't see it actually happened. Perhaps knowing is good for those who can utlise the knowledge !

Until recently, theorists believed that wormholes could exist for only an instant of time, and anyone trying to pass through would run into a singularity. But more recent calculations show that a truly advanced civilization might be able to make wormholes work. By using something physicists call “exotic matter,” which has a negative energy, the civilization could prevent a wormhole from collapsing on itself. The stuff of science fiction, to be sure. But perhaps some day in the far future, it could also turn into science fact.

Within the next 20 years is not realistic, but it would be the salvation of our species, ie, giving us the ability to colonize other worlds.

Whoever discovered how to create a wormhole will be protected and guarded by his/her government.

Consider the following, people believe worm hole can be a tunnel for long distance travel or a time travel highway. or even a teletransport conduit.

What if someone who can create a worm hole and drop a bomb to the white house without physically be there ?

Discovering the secret of discovering a worm hole will excited all scientists and physcists in the world. But it will scare the beloving jesus out of all government officials.

Now they worry someone is going to deliver a bomb or weapon to their country.

WHEN a wormhole is discovered I can guarantee you scientists all over the world will go absolutely INSANE!!! Then the politicians will get involved and there will be great shouting matches over who or what will go through the wormhole first. A human will of course be suggested and then the real screaming will start about getting that person killed, his/her not being able to return, blah blah blah...

But, it would be interesting to see what happens. I never thought about it happening in the next 20 years but I do look forward to seeing if it happens and what will ensue from it.
