Tell my why this is impossible.
A teacher says to his students every week there will be a pop quiz. They will not know when the pop quiz is until they are taking it. Why is this impossible considering there is always 5 days of school.

Well, look! If the quiz is not giving on the first four days, then we know for SURE, that it will be on Friday because that is the only choice left.

This means that he will always give his quiz on the first four days.

But now it is the same problem. We know that it can't be Friday so it has to be the first four days. But in the first four days, it has to be the first three days because if he doesn't give a pop quiz in the first three days then it has to be the fourth day which leaves no surprise.

This means that the quiz has to be given in the first three days.

But now it is the same problem. Repeat the entire process again until you are down to Monday only. This means that the pop quiz can only be given on a Monday...but then it is not much of a pop quiz anymore if you know that you are getting it on Monday.
