Yes, you should believe him. Alcohol loosens our inhibitions, and many things that are pent up inside of us are able to come out when we are under the influence.

No. Don't believe a drunk.
Doesn't everyone after time with a husband or wife think about being single. I think that's normal but I don't really believe either would prefer that.
A drunk has issues that he can't deal with and is full of some type of hurt and pain.
I hope he gets help some day. I did.

I believe that when someone is drunk Is the time the truth really comes out. Being drunk gives them the out let to say what's on there mind and not be held accountable because they were drunk at the time

Always believe a drunk. 97% of what they say is the truth. ok, so don't ALWAYS believe a drunk.. But believe most of it. They say things they are usually too afraid to say sober. Some of the things they say are obvious lies or obvious exagerations... That sounds like a truth he is too afraid to admit to sober... I'm sure he loves you, and wouldn't want anything else but to be with you, but even I wish I were single sometimes... And I wouldn't tell my girlfriend that sober, and hopefully not drunk! And just like him, it's not because I want to date other women.. It's that the single life was so much less stressful! I didn't have anyone to worry about but myself, and I didn't have to worry about anyone elses approval, and I could always spend time with my friends. But.. I love being with my girl, and all the sacrifices are well worth it. It's just SOMETIMES I miss being single, too.

You can't believe a drunk/addict. The bigger question should be... What is he willing to do to address his drinking problem? If it continues, you may wish that you were single.

I feel your pain. no easy answer for that one. what I think, try not to be around him when he's drunk. if he's not gonna take responsibility for what he says at that time, the less you'll be there, the less confusion you'll face.
