ok, so I know that when the Exposition Universelle opened and the Eiffel Tower was built, the french hated it and wanted to take it down. So i was just wondering: what if they would have taken it down right after it was built (obviously, Paris wouldn't the same), but then someone wanted to build it back up in like 2008 or something. what if THAT would have happened? Do you think rebuilding the Eiffel Tower after 200 years (around there) would change History??

i think there would be another land mark that would be in place of the eifle tower. i think that if the eifle tower was built in 2008 instead of 200 years ago it would not have the same affect on people as it has today. it hold history to it. we are too advanced now for something like the eifle tower to have such an effect on people as it did before.

No, it's just a large piece of art not a political move. I doubt the French would have done much to add to history either way. The waiters would still be rude and everyone would still pretend to not speak English.
