You have friends and then you have aquaintances. Your friends are those closest to you and that you'd like to frequent your home or vice versa. Aquaintances are those you surround yourself with in large social settings, like school. Its appropriate to keep these people around you, but make sure you keep it easy to let go of them too! If you are popular, you probably will have, if not already, "cling-ons". These are the aquaintances that think they are your friend. This is a tough one. Dont ever be mean. That will be remembered about you! But you can be evasive. Shorten conversations, don't accept invitations (make an excuse), and eventually, they will get the hint. Always continue to smile though! One thing I love to hear is that people from highschool always remembered my smile. Its a good feeling when you're remembered that way!

The important thing is that you have friends. Not everyone can have people over, and not everyone wants to come over, but sleeovers always are great fun if you can get them, and if you just go to other people's sleepovers without ever having any yourself.... that's kind of cheap, and it's good to learn how to host a little bit before you're all grown up.

i don't see anything wrong with not having friends over at your house for a sleepover. It's a personal preference I suppose. You can still be friends with someone without having them over. Some of my closest friends have never slept over at my home and our friendship is perfect. The only friend of mine that sleeps over is my best friend who used to be my roomate. We find it very hard to this day not being together as much as we used to be.

Some of the closest friends I had in high school never came over to my house.

I never had a sleepover or went for one. I turned out OK. I don't think i'd be comfortable sleeping at someone else's place anyway. I did come to their palce to play and chat, and they came over to our house, but never stayed overnight.

Some of the funnest times are at slumber parties with your friends.
Up all night talking, sharing secrets, giggling over silliness.
It's nice to share your homelife with people you trust & feel close to.

That's fine, there's no need for them to come to your house. That's only a matter of personal preference. If you like to keep your friendships at school, feel free to do so.

It's ok to just have school friends, but it's always good to have a few good friends to hang out with away from school too.

Just ask them why they never come over. Its kind of weird that they don't.
