A few weeks ago I went to my coworker's birthday party. She's a 50-year-old African American, as were most of the guests, and they played music that sounded kind of like old school/ mo-town/ R&B type stuff. Lots of them were "line dance" songs, and I really liked them!

Does anyone know of some song names or artists to recommend? When I asked her, she said, "I don't know names. It's just old school." So she wasn't able to point me in the direction towards getting this music for myself.

Thanks!

I would recommend a few of these classics.

Parliment-Flashlight
Earth Wind and Fire- September, Let's Groove Tonight
Dazz Band- Brick (Disco Jazz)
Zapp- Do Wah Ditty
Dropped a Bomb on Me

I think if you download a few of these songs, and listen to them you will find these are the style you are looking for :)
