Pain is a symptom. Stop treating the symptom and find somebody who can help you figure out the cause. Have you had an eye exam in the last year or so or noticed any changes in vision? Are you in a different school (you could possibly be allergic to something different in the environment)? Try to figure out when the headaches started and if anything in your environment changed, as well.

A Doctor of Naturopathy can help you get to the cause if your parents will take you to see one. To find one near you, you can check www.trinityschool.org. They have a listing of naturopaths on their web site.

At the very least, have somebody take you to an MD. This could be something very simple, or it could be something very serious. You need to do something to find out what is causing you pain.

I would suggest going to the Doctor to see what the problem may be. I remember when I was younger I used to get stressed out alot...took meds like Advil, Tylenol, and all of the old remedies. I went to my Doctor and He gave me a prescribed medicine. I'm not sure you want to get meds at your age because people are beginning to get addicted to these things but ask your Doctor and make sure you get ALOT of sleep. Clear you head of things around you and I know things will get much much better. hope that helps. Oh and don't watch TV in a dark room...that makes things worse.lol

Well since I was 14 I had awful sometimes debilitating headaches and no doctor could figure out what was wrong with me and I saw family doctors and neurologists. Finally at 23 I went to a chiropractor and found out I had had a severely pinched nerve millimeters from my brain stem and that was causing the inflammation and pain. I started treatment and getting adjustments and headaches no longer. HHA Memory Power from herbalhealer.com helps when you have bad headaches as well.

Good Luck!

Bad headaches at your age are JUST NOT NORMAL. You really need to have a doctor evaluate you. It could be eyestrain. It could be hormonal. It could be stress. There are a lot of things it could be. Just popping over-the-counter pain pills simply hides the problem. Find out what it is and get it treated appropriately.

Headache is the most common type of vascular headache, involving (it is thought) abnormal sensitivity of blood vessels (arteries) in the brain to various triggers resulting in rapid changes in the artery size due to spasm (constriction). Other arteries in the brain and scalp then open (dilate), and throbbing pain is perceived in the head.

You do need to talk to a doctor but so many things cause headaches, stress, medications, (birth control) high blood pressure, back problems, deydration, hormones, reading(eye problems),smoking, caffeine, on and on. I hope you find out what is causing them I had headaches in my youth but out grew them around my senior year.

Headache happens because the brain has unsufficient oxygen, it has connection with the blood flow. I suggest you to have an accupuncture which can help to promote the blood flow.

If you are getting them everyday you need to see a doctor. Something could be wrong, better to be safe then sorry.
