I looove my new Mazda. Let me preface. One issue. I live in NC and its really freakin hot here! My a/c is kind of, well, crappy! Is there anything I can do about it? I just hate seeing my baby girl with a red face and her little curls plastered to her forehead with sweat! That actually only happened once, and now I go start the car first. But it literally takes ten minutes solid to cool down! If I have to leave quickly, I have to roll all the windows down first! Even if its 100 degrees outside! Can the manufacturer do something?

Check out this review....could be that the A/C just isn't sized big enough for hot climates.

Actually not the engine has to run the compressor and the blowers and fans to cool the interior of the car keep in a shady place where the birds can decimate the car finish or invest in a remote car starter alarm system push the button and car starts up all locked and if tampered with it locks down and alarm sounds and engine turns off. It has been over 100 degrees in Texas for 34 days in a row. I feel your pain NC. Hey I was born in 1955 and the first family car that had A/C was a 1963 rambler in 1964. What does not kill us makes us stronger. And the first USA manufacture to have lap belts

It does take a while for all cars to cool down. I also have a Mazda, It cools faster when you are actually driving though. If you just idle it will take forever! Make sure you are using the circulate button with the air conditioning that way it circulates better and faster. As far as taking less time to cool your car to begin with, i don't know. Park in a shady spot if you can. Hope that helps a bit.

you can go to a place like pep boys and ask how much it would cost to get a better air conditioning system but first make sure that the problem isnt something simple like u need to change ur a/c fluid
