Usually when you invite guests over by invitations, the time of the get together is normally on the invite. Now if you have a party with no time of when it is over, then there are some settle things you can do to them the it is time to go home if they want to stay all night.
1. Blow the fuse to the boom box.
2. Turn off the breaker to the Boom box but not the lights. if you do the lights they will think it is time for more fun in the dark and start to grope everyone.
3. tell them the food is all gone.
4. Tell them the drinks are gone and the stores are closed.
5. Put their coats near the front door.
6. Lead one of them by the hand to the front door and Yawn.
7. Lock the bathroom door.
8. Turn off the breaker to the Ice Box.
9 Put on Perry Como cd's
10. Stand on the table and Scream at the top of your lungs... GET THE HELL OUT.
When is it OK to let people know it is time to go home, when you think it is time for them to go home. I am sure most will go home on their own, and some will needed to be told that it is late and you need to get up in the morning and it was great to have them over. Talk to them later. Really be nice and they will understand.
Good luck

When you invite them set a time,Such as between 8pm and 10pm. Telling them at the beginning of the invite says your asking for their company for that time frame and most people will remember that time frame and honor it. If you get some that do not then after desert and such has been served allow 45min.to an hour of chat time then wind things down by stating that you are glad to see so and so and that we must do this again soon but remind them that you have an early day tomarrow and have to round things up for the evening.

You can do it politely so they understand. You an say:, perhaps before or during the evening meal, "I have to get up at 4 in the morning and I'd like to get to bed by 9 . Im enjoying your company. Ill miss you if you leave by 8:30 but please do, because I want to keep my new job.

Thank them for coming by and then give them little parting gifts like after seven mints or something. Pretty nice hint.

I'll bet if you look up Miss Manners, or Martha Stewart, or "Entertaining Tips" you'll find lots of ways to do that...

If you have to ask a question like this, then you have no business inviting ppl over.
If you don't like them enough to let them pass out on your floor then why would you let them come over at all?
