Status anxiety is just being too concerned with what other people think of you.

And no, not all of us have illusions of grandeur. It's a very liberating thing, not to give a crap what others think of your status in life. It frees you to live the life YOU want to live, not that which you think others expect you to live.

maybe.... but then again, status anxiety comes in several degrees. the moment of anticipation of something to happen, the actual moment as it comes and its afterglow after it has pass. those have several degrees... how would you react to a given situation? would it the same as the one sitting next to you? would it be more? or less?... so it would depend on the actual person too...

with reference to your second question, i don't think "humans suck"... reason is, it's what they chose that makes them fools or stupid or dumb or an idiot. it's what they define as their mistake due to these choices. now if you say that life sucks... then i'd agree with you. but with respect to humans... again, it depends on one's perception of how one carries his faults or deeds. how one react to certain situtation at any given time... that is, from my own point of view...
