I say, that if it means more attacking offense football, then yes. Because without the golden goal, the game has become too defensive, or perhaps it is only because some managers prefer it that way for some strange reason. I miss the excitement of golden goals. What do you think?

Yes I think it should I liked it way better.

And the last time I can recall that 2 goals were scored in a big game was Euro 2004 England vs Portugal.

1st half
England 1-0 Portugal

2nd half
England 1-1 Portugal

Extra time
England 1-2 Portugal
England 2-2 Portugal

Finally a good question! I gave a thumb up to you for asking it and not bashing the team you loathe [at least in this question] ;-) Maybe one day there actually will be peace on this forum, yay!

Well, I think the golden goal is exciting, but the way it is right now it's probably more fair to both teams. And if you think about it, it's exciting too. A team scores in extra time, they think they have won, and suddenly the other team scores and the game is tied once again. Too bad that penalty kicks have to decide the outcome, but a game can't go on forever, so they are a necessary evil.

Yes. So long as the referee doesn't make a bad call that "gifts" one team the win. But then, this is beyond anybody's control except the ref's of course.

In my opinion, I still prefer golden goal to the current way of deciding draws aet, by pens. I think pens. is a horrible way to lose the game especially for the palyer who misses or the goalkeeper who lets the winning goal in

I miss the golden goal too... I've had many highs and just as many lows because of the rule... I don't think it has a place in the laws of the game anymore not with all this supposed 'fair play'... It has too much potential to cause controversy -- 1 game I went to years ago, one player dived to receive a penalty and all hell broke lose!!!!!

if they do bring back the golden goal it might cause a fuss due to the fact the a game can be lossed by one bad call from the ref or a missed offside by the linesmen but that happens witout the golden goal. it would bring some more excitment back to the games though.

Nope

its more fair the way it is now... golden goal has too much pressure and really shows if a team can keep a lead!! and if they can score after being scored on

i agree with u totally...even in the final, both the teams were playing too defensively..it wouldnt hav happened if there was a golden goal...also it would have been great to win by the golden goal...

Well lets study this new method for some years to see the gains it has to offer.
But I also prefer the golden goal.
