I hear about girls who are attracted to transexual men and live a lesbian lifestyle as a result, is this true or just the makings of good television?

Yes, there are definately people out there who fall in love with women who used to be men, and are hence considered lesbians because they are in love with another woman.

Yes hun there are woman that fall for a Transsexual I have a best friend that is a female and her husband is a transsexual when they first got together he was dressing as a woman and they have 3 kids together they have been together now for about 15yrs Married and he lives his life as a woman in a lesbian relationship next year he is going to go all the way with an operation his wife is all for it too as for there kids they have only known him as a woman he has been there for then with 3 girls so they do exist out there

Probably, I saw it on one of those sex changing surgery shows once. It's possible, I don't know any, but it's very possible, and put it like this, there are people who like transsexuals while there are people who are totally asexual and only love themselves. So I think there are real life females who do.

FTM or MTF?
(FTM = female to male: a person born female who is "a man trapped in a woman's body"...MTF = male to female: a person born male who is "a woman trapped in a man's body")
I have known women in relationships with MTFs. (that would make it a lesbian relationship, but they could have "straight sex")
I have known women in relationships with FTMs. (that makes it a straight relationship, but sex is a little different)
I have also known men in relationships with MTFs. (straight relationship, the sex can be straight if the MTF girl had a sex change, only a doctor can tell the difference)
Also men in relationships with FTMs (gay relationship...I'm tired of talking about sex)
also I didn't mention FTM sex changes because they are rare, complicated and expensive.
Oh! I forgot to add relationships between FTMs and MTFs...straight relationship, and IMO adorable. :)

it is a myth
transsexuals like men much more any way .
they go to a lot of trouble to become women
why would they then want to have sex with women
this does not make sense
