i dont mean online either i mean in the store in my community or something?
how do i know if she is gay , i dont go to clubs , how would i approach her im afraid i would embarass myself of offend someone else. or maybe i could go online but then my family would see, im living at my parents for now.

the women in bars aren't really out to meet friends if you take my meaning. i met some of my best gfriends thru meetup.com. we were all at this meeting to volunteer for a cause. i also met a few thru the dog meetup. it's not a singles site, but a common interest site. the people you meet are probably less predatory and can be less drama filled if they're for some actual cause or occasion that doesn't include drinking till you puke. there's also outspokin the gay road bicycle group, i'm in sqream the gay scooter club. just look for common interests.

you can wear lgbtq jewelry and look for others wearing the stuff. Get involved in an AIDS organization or a reading club at the library or local book store.
It's tough if you are still closeted at home.
don't necessarily approach someone with the intent of a lesbian friendship, build some new friendships in your area and from there you will find other lesbians,

If you are a teenager or young adult (guess you would be if still living at home but maybe not, people have their reasons) then you could go to a local GLBTQ youth group and find friends. Then you and your new friends can go to lesbian/bisexual clubs and events to meet others.
There is no sure fire way to tell if somebody is "gay" or not so you would just have to ask. There are round about ways like asking about a girl's boyfriend (but that backfires if she is bisexual) or talking about gay marriage rights or something.

hhmmm it's kinda difficult baby, i do wanna meet lesbians in general but it's hard to indentify. some say you'll know she's a les or not by her body languange, gesture, eyes, etc. but i guess the lesbians won't use it to every women they meet, right?

Heck, they always told me (back when I was in denial) that they could just tell that I was... like gaydar or something... Flirt with a irl you like in a frinedly girlie way and see how she responds... I know I am a big flirt so maybe that just blew my cover... try it.

find the gay bars, swinger clubs, and gay clubs in your town and start going to them.... good luck... i am sure that you will meet ppl. u can go online without your parents knowing...just go to the library or a net bar....

go to a bar, i always end up kissing other girls when i'm drunk, and i go to the bar with my boyfriend! your bound to meet some if you go to a place thats crazy enough. also there are a lot of lesbian/gay bars, you should check them out. many people i know that are bi or gay met thier partners at gay bars or doing gay oriented activies (such as gay outings, get togethers or parties).
